The Pixop–Mimir integration connects your Mimir tenant to a Pixop team so that users can send videos to Pixop for AI processing and receive results back inside Mimir.
Mimir is a cloud-native media production and media asset management platform from Fonn Group. It is used by broadcasters and media organizations worldwide to manage live and archived content, with AI-assisted metadata and powerful search.
What the integration does
At a high level, the integration:
-
Ingests videos from Mimir into Pixop
Video items in Mimir can be sent to Pixop as master videos for ingest and processing. -
Starts Pixop processing jobs from Mimir
Users trigger custom actions in Mimir to request Pixop processing with a selected processing configuration. -
Keeps users informed in Mimir
The integration writes comments and status updates back on the Mimir item when:- ingest jobs are started, complete or fail
- processing jobs are started, complete or fail
- a job cannot be started (e.g. cost limits or other constraints)
-
Synchronizes life cycle where possible
When the processed video has been successfully delivered back to Mimir and both master and processed video are fully ingested, the integration can:- expose an easy way to compare the source and processed version in Mimir
- automatically clean up an unused master video (and its derived outputs/clips) in Pixop
-
Protects stability
- an integration guard automatically pauses an integration per tenant when repeated authentication or permission errors occur
- the integration will reset tenant TTLs when jobs are created to keep active integrations alive without manual intervention
Who is this for?
-
Mimir users – who want to:
- send selected items for enhancement, upscaling or conversion
- track job status without leaving Mimir
-
Pixop/Mimir administrators – who:
- configure the Pixop–Mimir integration via the Pixop and Pixop Mimir integration APIs
- manage API keys and processing configurations
- monitor and troubleshoot integrations
