Teams and account management

Pixop teams let multiple users work with the same projects, videos, presets, and billing setup.

A Pixop user can belong to one or more teams.

Team member permissions

All members of a Pixop team have administrator-level access to that team.

This means that any team member can:

  • invite new members
  • remove other team members
  • remove themselves from the team
  • manage team settings
  • delete the team, if the team meets the requirements for deletion

Because all team members have the same level of access, only invite users you trust to manage the team and its data.

Add a team member

To invite another user to your team:

  1. Open the user menu in the upper-right corner of Pixop Studio.
  2. Select Account.
  3. Open Manage team members.
  4. Select Invite user.
  5. Enter the user's email address and send the invitation.

Once the user joins the team, they have the same administrator-level access as the other team members.

Remove a team member

Any team member can remove another member from the team.

To remove a member:

  1. Open the user menu in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Account.
  3. Open Manage team members.
  4. Find the member you want to remove.
  5. Select Revoke.

A team member can also remove themselves if they no longer need access.

If you belong to multiple teams, removing yourself from one team does not affect your membership in the others.

Switch between teams

If you belong to more than one team, you can switch between them from the user menu in the upper-right corner of Pixop Studio.

Open the user menu and select Switch team, then choose the team you want to work with.

Always check which team is currently active before changing team settings, billing information, removing members, or deleting data.

Custom presets and teams

Custom presets are associated with a team and can be reused by its members.

This makes it easier to apply consistent processing settings across multiple users and projects.

See Presets and processing settings for more information.

Delete a team

Deleting a team is permanent.

Before a team can be deleted:

  • all other team members must be removed
  • no video ingestion can be in progress
  • no processing jobs can be in progress

Before deleting or requesting deletion of a team, we also recommend that you:

  1. Download any videos or processing results you need to keep.
  2. Make sure you have selected the correct team.
  3. Delete videos and clips you no longer need.
  4. Review any outstanding billing or subscription obligations.

The deletion process depends on how the team is billed.

Direct Pixop billing

A directly billed team can be deleted through Pixop Studio once the requirements above have been met.

You must be the only remaining member of the team, and no ingestion or processing can be in progress.

To delete the team:

  1. Open the user menu in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Account.
  3. Open Team.
  4. Choose the option to permanently delete the team account and its video data.
  5. Confirm the deletion.

For teams using direct Pixop billing:

  • any outstanding billing balance may be charged when the team is closed
  • any remaining processing credits in the team's wallet are forfeited

Deleting a team is permanent. Its video data and remaining processing credit balance cannot be restored.

AWS Marketplace billing

Teams billed through AWS Marketplace cannot currently be deleted through self-service.

Before requesting deletion:

  1. Download any videos or processing results you need to keep.
  2. Delete all videos and clips stored in the team.
  3. Remove all other team members.
  4. Make sure no video ingestion or processing jobs are in progress.
  5. Review the AWS Marketplace billing guide for information about ending or changing the Marketplace subscription.
  6. Contact [email protected] and request deletion of the Pixop team.

Pixop Support will assist with the team deletion process.

Users who belong to multiple teams

If you belong to multiple teams, deleting one team does not remove your user account or your memberships in other teams.

If you only want to leave a team, remove yourself from that team instead of deleting it.
